    There was a hedge school in Ruhill Beag in the side of an old road. The house the master lived in was very small. The name of the Master was John MacAuliffe

    Long ago there was a hedge school near Glashakinleen bridge. It was a small thatched house. The teacher was Mrs Lane. After a time when the National School was built there she was appointed teacher.
