  1. Local Songs (continued)

Once down is no battle no matter about it

    (continued from previous page)
    Casey
Both tired and fatigue without money or clothes
    V
Once down is no battle no matter about it
The sense that was bought is worth silver and gold
I'll marry you Peggy she's full of good nature.
She's kind and she'll keep me at night form the cold
The people unborn will yet have a farm.
Both cattle and corn and money in store.
Oh. happy I feel when I'm out in the garden.
To know that young Peggy is cheerful at home
She's stowing up the house or she's rocking the cradle.
And singing a song the child to console.
She's always in humour but never contrary.
She's smiling and pleasing where-ever she goes.
She settles her baby without hesitation.
And feels as content as a king on his throne.
