The R.I.C. fired shots at the "moonlighters" and a man named Hickie from "Lios na Buidhe" near Cullen was wounded and died afterwards from his wounds. He lived in a thatched house with his wife and family. He was wounded by "buck" shot.Great Prices:

A MacCarthy from Dunmanway bought a cow for £42 in Knocknagree fair.
Ned Jones of Ballydesmond got £40 for a bull.
John Leary of Low-lands got £40 for a bull.
There was one fair held in Ballydaly and failed because of the scarcity of cattle and buyers.
