(continued from previous page)before Johnny Mick Sullivan of Nohoval died and there was a family in New Quarter (Co Kerry, West of Lacka) that crying was following the family (she couldn't remember the name)."Other Piseóga :- Bringing can of water first from the well on the morning of the churning.She spoke of Nohaval and the removal of the graveyard from Olladh or Bailenahulla and told me she often heard the old people speak of it as "Nuadh Chongbhail na leacan".
That was the first time I heard the name and it is significant that Leaca na Stúca is only separated from Baile na hOlna (?) by the River Blackwater. Furthermore there is a field in Denis Twomey's land in Leaca na Stúca and in it are several stones with some kind of script on them - The stones I am informed are now covered with old moss and the ground is very wet and marshy. Perhaps, then, that the graveyard moved from Leacha in the old old days.(continues on next page)
