    There are men who do not often make boots but make their living by repairing them. These men are called "cobblers" Daniel OLeary of Glountane is a cobbler.
    Leather was made locally at Millstreet. There was a "tan-yard" there.
    In olden times "clogs" were worn. At present time "clogs" are only sold in a few shops. Because people claim that they are warm and bad for the feet and cause "corns."
