Holy water blessed on Easter Sunday is kept in the houses through the year. The houses and crops are sprinkled with holy water specially blessed for the Rogation days. Well water from the holy wells of Dromtariffe and Cullen is kept. Sore eyes are rubbed well with the Dromtariffe water and the water of St Lateerins well Cullen is used for illness of women and girls. Knock cement and water are kept and used similarly. Some of the cement that was taken off the wall where the apparition appeared are treasured articles and have been kept by some in the district since the days of the apparition.
