And brought him here to visit you all.The "wren" boys usually got a lot of coppers especially if they are dressed funnily.II Long ago everybody used look forward to St Brigid's Day especially the working men, because the working men used get no dinner from the first of November to St Brigid's Day and on St Brigid's Day they used say "Biddy is gone back with the hand basket" which meant that the old women were gone to town with the basket for provisions for the dinner.
III During shrove there used be great excitement in every district long ago as the old people used bennatch-making for their sons and daughters.
