    applied it to the child's eye. She was then about to put the bottle, in which there was still some water, safely away, when as she said herself, the bottle was taken from her hand and dashed on the floor.
    The child's eye soon got well, the old lady said, and she looked on the breaking of the bottle as a warning to her that she should not attempt to store any of the water but to go for a fresh supply if ever it was needed again.
