   He sang the dells and holy wells
   On hills and heather brown,
   Beyond the foam and hear at home,
   Dear Bard of old Glendown.

   A guiding leading star,
   His songs were best let none deny unrivelled near and far,
   God rest your soul dear gifted Bard,
   And give heavens to your crown,
   And there I'll trust we'll meet one day,
