the money and walked to Cork and brought home the flour and baked it for the men who came home from the bog. On another occasion a woman named Mrs Duggan Lahakineen walked to Cork with a basket of eggs and with the money she got for the eggs she bought a cwt of wheat. She then walked to Bens Mill of Newberry and got it ground into flour. She brought home the flour that night and baked a cake for her supper. This woman walked about 45 miles that day.
