    so the master was more than busy teaching us the Catechism. We were often kept in after school until six o'clock, and we had to attend school even Saturday. Now I took great interest in the work for it was my desire to know the Catechism from cover to cover. After various examinations by the curate the master, I was declared to be the best boy, so I was put at the head of the class. Naturally enought, I felt proud of the honour and worked still harder to merit the confidence imposed on me.
