My mother feeds the hens and ducks every morning and evening. She has no trouble in getting them to come because when she says "Tuk, Tuk, Tuk", they come running towards her from all quarters.
The ducks come when she says "Feeny, Feeny, Feeny". The geese answer to the call "Badhee, Badhee".
A clutch of eggs is usually got from some neighbour. These eggs are put in a nest, and a "Clocker" that is a hatching hen, put on them. Sometimes a clutch of eggs is purchased at some one of the Poultry Stations. All these eggs are branded.
