  1. Once upon a time there was a man by the name of Patrick McCarthy. He was working for a farmer in Rockspring. When he was finished, he wouldn’t get his wages. He went to court with the farmer. The farmer was getting the best of the case. The Judge asked McCarthy, when and how often did he work for the farmer. McCarthy replied, “an hour now, and an hour then, a half an hour between every hour, and an hour now and again.”
