    VI
    Six hundred valiant warriors
    With ardour joined the fray
But ere the close of night Alas
    In mangled corpses lay
    Ah! manfully Ah! manfully
    They fought and nobly died
But ever more their memory dear
    Shall in our hearts abide.
    VII
The men that framed the Penal Code
    Are in the dust to-day
    While brave Liscarroll's banner floats
    Awaiting freedom's ray
    Emblazoned on it still behold
    The wolf dog watching fast
    Beside that good Old castle
    That relic of the past.
    VIII
    Beneath its folds assemble now
And fight with might and main
That good Old fight to make our land
    "A Nation Once Again"
Ay, falter not till Alien rule
    In dark oblivion falls
And stand as freemen yet beneath
    Those Old Historic Walls.
