- There are several forts in my townland. There is a fort in Timothy Newman's in Moygue. There can be three forts seen from this one. There is an under ground passage in this fort and it is said it is going to a fort three fields away There are earthen banks around it with white thorn trees growing on them. It is circular in shape. A man explored the cave and he got afraid to go in and it is said the cave is lined with stones. There is a pond not far away from this fort. There is music there now and again. There is another fort in Owen Binchy's farm in Grassyard and it is said there is a large box of ammunition hidden in it. There are lights seen there very often. This fort contains an acre of land inside in it and it is meadowed mostly every year. There is another in Tom Stack's of Ardagh and it is said a hare is seen in it and(continues on next page)
