    both were saved from the dreadful flood. There were people driven against walls, gates and were terrified. That dreadful night, was called the "Night of Allen's Bridge".
    In the year 1825 there was a great storm, and there was thunder also. The ponds, fields, and rivers were filled with water. This great storm lasted for two whole days, and two whole nights.
    Nobody has an account of the "Big Wind", which happened in the year 1839.
