  1. LOCAL RUINS
There is an old barn in the lands of Mr O’Callaghan in Egmont. It is round shaped and has a round roof. Some say it was a protestant place of worship or a druid’s altar. It is now in ruins and is called “New Barn”.
There is a hole in the centre of the ruin and it is the entrance to an underground passage which ends in the cave in Walshestown.
