    jaundice. To cook a mouse and eat it was also a cure for jaundice. A herb called in Irish lus na móinte boiled and put as a poultice was used for goitre. This herb grows in boggy districts. In ancient times people visited holy wells in order to be cured. There are two holy wells in Tullylease St Marys well and St Benjamins well. St Mary's well is good for headaches and St Benjamin's is good for eyesight.
