About a half a mile to the East of the town their is a Catholic burial ground called St. Josephs. This is situated on the side of a little hill and slopes down Although not in use a long time there are very few vacant plots left. There is no Church attached to it. - About four miles from Mallow in the townland of Ballymagooly there is a graveyard called Killeen. There is a Protestant Church in the centre of the graveyard which is square in shape. Mostly Protestants are buried in this graveyard- at the present time there is only one grave owned by a Catholic family. In this graveyard there is a large vault which belonged to the late Sir James. Cotter who lived in a mansion nearby and was the landlord of the locality(continues on next page)
