    This house was erected in 1816.
    This Hennessy family gave many men to the Irish Brigade in the service of France.
    One member of the family settled at Cognac, in France and ever since Hennessy Brandy of Cognac is famous. These Hennessys of Cognac are known locally as the Brandy Hennessys."
