  1. There is supposed to be gold hidden in the town-land of Ballinamona in the parish of Glanworth Co. Cork. Six men having dreamt of it set out to get it at night. After having dug two feet, they were about to seize the gold, when a large bird appeared and attacked them, and drove them away, after wounding one of them. They never attempted to unearth it afterwards
