  1. "Gold near the Cloister"
In the townland of Johnstown, Glanworth Co. Cork are the remains of an old cloister. There is supposed to be an under-ground passage from the cloister to Mr. Kiely's house, some distance away.
It is said that there is gold under the passage. People went to dig for it, but they were hunted by a black cat with fire flying from its tail. The people went away and so they never got the gold since.
