    was able to grow wheat. A good part of the land is occupied by bogs, and other parts of it very wet, as there is no large river to drain the place. There is only a branch of the Bride called the Collatruim draining the place. It is a very small stream at its source.

  2. There are a few holy wells in every locality. There is one in Coole, the townland in which I live. It is to the South East side of the house where Doctor Mc Causland lived. It is about ten yards South of the cemetery. There are little Statues, beads and medals
