  1. It is said that a crock of gold was found at Glenatore long ago on land which at that time belonged to Mr. Mac Loughlan. The old people said that where it was found nothing used to grow so two men went out one date to dig in that spot. They were not digging very long when they found a crock of gold. They carried home the gold and that night one of them died so the other fellow went back with the gold because he thought that fairy gold is not lucky and that the same might happen to himself.
