    Wind from the east is not good for man or beast.
    Southerly wind in Spring or early Summer makes good growth.
    A circle round the moon fortells a storm.
    If the sky is red around the sun in the morning it is a sign of rain before night.
    If "Mose's Horns" are in the sky when the sun goes down it is a sign of rain.
