his songs sung now. The people thought he was a very good man. The following is one of his poems which I got from Mr. E Buckley, Barryscourt
    An tAifreann
Éist Aifreann an Domnaigh go dhil
Is mílse é ná mil do cách
Ar eagla ná mairféa Dé Lúain
Is na faightheá a luach go bráth.
Na leig Aifreann an Domhnuigh thart
Pé fluic fuar a beidh an mhaidean
Ar eagla na mairfeá Dé Luain
Is gurbh i an uaig do leabhaidh
    Teampoll do thógáil a lár
    Idir aol cloch agus clár
Do bh'fearr dob anam fá sheacht.
    Aifreann Domhnuigh d'éistheacht.
