- Warts. If people suffering from warts find a hole of water in a tree and rub it to the wart and say a few prayers then it is cured. One must find the water by accident. Another cure is to get a paper bag and put in it a stone for every wart and leave it at a "cross of four roads" and one that comes along takes the bag would get the warts. One who suffering from consumption swallow a snail every morning it would cure him. If a person got a sting from a bee rub a bit of fine earth and spit on it the sting would be cured.
