    There was once a traveller going around...

    the wedding. When he was coming home he fell asleep at Peafield cross and the dog stopped minding him all night. When he came home he went to Lisgoold. When he reached Leadington hill coming home he fell asleep again and the dog cared him all night and next day All the people were going to Mass next day the dog would not let any one go near him to wake him up. When he woke he came home and the dog was delighted and he used to jump up on him and fall him. When he came home he told my grandfather all about the dog.
