  1. Long ago at Castlepoint, Crosshaven, Co. Cork a Castle was erected. It was built with mortar and big stones. Tradition tells us that it was built by an Irish Chieftain, who ruled over the country far and wide. It was built where the boats are kept at present. This chieftain resided there for many years and he was liked by everybody. One night he left the Castle and he never again returned.
    Some time after his departure men came and took away all the contents of the Castle. People say that the Chieftain left it, because it was haunted.
    Shortly after the men had taken the contents, the roof collapsed
