Some sensible things were after done such as putting the neck of a hot bottle to a boil to cause the latter to break.
If a dog gets wounded he immediately licks the wound and cures himself by his own natural instinct.
It is said if a dog licks a cut on the human being that it cures the same way.
On the first visit to see a newly born baby it was considered right to spit gently on its face and say
