- (continued from previous page)summer months, with their caravans laden with wicker work furniture for sale.
- Long ago there lived a beggar called "Séan an bríste leathar" - a match-maker.
He went around to the houses making matches for all the young boys and girls, and boasted from one house to an other, about the matches he had made and the alms he got for his task.
Sometimes, the kind neighbours would give him a bed and breakfast for a night or two. He always lived around the locality because the young people, who were kind to him, knew him and loved him, being very useful at times.
He always wore a knee breeches, which shone like a mirror = you could see yourself init - because it was never washed, and hence his name - "Sean an bríste leathar".- Collector
