It is then pounded boiled, and strained and the juice was kept as a drink fasting each morning.The old cure for yellow jaundice was penny leaves and porter and sulphur mixed together and boiled in a pot It is then bottled and a teaspoon taken each morning fasting. The penny leaves are usually found in a woody place.
