- (continued from previous page)his prayers. When he had finished he went to stand up, but found he was stuck to the ground. He made several attempts to loose himself but all were in vain. It grew dark inside, and the moon shone through the windows, and he thought that he saw all kinds of shadows on the walls.
Very soon he fell off in a sound sleep. At about midnight he was awakned by strange sounds, and when he awoke he saw a priest dressed in black vestements saying mass. The church organ was playing, and a number of people sang beautifully. The singing was so beautifull that he fell of again into a sound sleep. After a while he awoke again, and the priest and all the people were gone. The coffin was not in the church. He then tried to loose himself, and found he was not stuck atall.
