    of the houses near the shore were submerged and fowl and other valuable things were carried away and lost.
    In the year 1919 there was severe storm. It occurred in the month of late August. Coming at such an unusual time it did great damage for most of the crops were in the fields. It scattered hay and corn everywhere and being followed by a downpour of rain there was no chace of recovering anything that the wind had scattered.
