    to get much trouble in the making of their nests as the inland birds.

    The migratory birds that breed here are the swallow, the cuckoo and the corncrake. The swallow frequents the farmyard, and makes its nest in the inside of the roof of an outhouse. The cuckoo puts her egg in another small birds nest and spares herself the trouble of hatching her young. The corncrake nests in the middle of a meadow, and hatches her young there.

    The game birds are preserved in this district, and as a result, pheasants have become more plentiful. They would be even more plentiful, but foxes are
