    A good many people have strange ideas about these forts. Some say they are occupied by the fairy folk and that music and dancing can be heard in them at the midnight hour. Others say that they are haunted by ghosts, who are guarding the treasures that they buried there when they were in this world. There is a local belief that if you dreamt three nights in succession that there was, were treasures hidden in the fort that you would find them if you went to look, but it is very few have the courage to go. People also say that it isn't right to interfere with the forts and they say that any one that has done so has met with some misfortune, or sickness, or perhaps death. People have such a firm belief
