- Games We Play.The local children play many kinds of games. The boys play the following games in Summer. "Spinning tops, bowling, bicycle wheels, and hoops. "Hares and Hounds", and football. Hurling is not played as much as football in this side of Limerick. They play the following games in winter:- cards, ludo, draughts, snakes and ladders, dominoes and puicin.The girls play the following games in summer. "Hides", "skipping", "swinging" and "colours". Their winter games are the same as boys, except that they play "Gobs".This is the way we play, "Hares and Hounds". Three or four are selected to be placed in a certain(continues on next page)
