    one, has no use at all except to be used as a quiet haunt for picknickers and tourists.
    The cross roads throughout the district, especially Kilteery and the Pound cross are favourite meeting places for the young boys. Here they engage in all kinds of fun :- Interesting news, jokes, stories, card playing, pitch and toss, jumping, racing, weight throwing, hurling or football are all carried on simultaneously. Dancing used to be a favourite pastime at the crossroads, but since the introduction of the dance hall, we have very little at the cross roads.
