    sending the patient home incurable. A neighbouring merchant who heard of this got in touch with a herbalist. The latter sent on a small quantity of powdered material together with directions as to how it should be applied. The patient used the powder according to those directions and in a short time the cancer disappeared completely from his lip.
    It is now four years since this cure was done and in the meantime the cancer has not reappeared.
