  1. Local Cures.
    In olden times garlic cured a toothache, and iodine was used for corns. There is a woman in Askeaton who has a charm for curing ringworm, and a man named Mr. Frawley was cured by it. the woman told him to rub a damp cloth to his eyes every time they would pierce him, and the fifth time he did this he was cured.
    A blind girl from Kilcolman was cured at Borigone well. She went down for nine mornings before the sun rose and on the ninth morning she was cured.
