  1. Bird Lore.
    The birds that are always seen inthis district are, the robin, wren, blackbird, thrush, jack-daw, magpie, lark, swallow, cuckoo and corncrake.
    The birds that migrate are, the cuckoo, swallows, and corncrake. They migrate in about the month of September, and at that time the starling and plover come to spend with Winter here.
    Robin - She builds her nest in the side of a mossy ditch. She makes her nest of moss and hair, and lines it with feathers. She lays five brownish eggs, and she sits on them for two weeks.
    Wren - She builds her nest in an ivy tree or in an ivy ditch. it is made of moss and feathers. Lays about fifteen small white eggs.
    Blackbird - Builds nest in a white-thorn
