    In this parish clothes are bought for the most part in the shops but some of these tailors get in goods sometimes and sell it to their customers. In olden times shirts were made in this parish and they were made of "bandle-cloth" which meant hand-woven linen.
    There is no linen-weaving or flax weaving carried on in this parish now though I saw a bundle of linen woven by my grandmother about sixty years ago. She is now seventy four years of age.
