    meadow in which there were about four acres. He edges his scythe and looked at his watch and it was just midnight. He was drawing the first stroke with his scythe when a small man hopped behind his back and told him to cut a swath full round the meadow by the ditches and not to attempt to look back. Martin did as he was commanded and when he had arrived at where he started, the whole meadow was cut down for him by the fairies.
