    the best dancer in the west of Ireland. He was living in a place called Cratloe in the parish of Athea. He used go around from place to place teaching dancing. He used always dance on the half door or on the table because the floors at that time only consisted of mud. He was challenged several times by many other great dancers but he always beat them. He used have dancing schools in the evenings around the district and some of his pupils are still the finest dancers in West Limerick. There was also another great dancer in my locality by the name of Jimin Scanlan. The old people say that he was the next best to Dicky
