DunganvilThis place got its name about a thousand years ago. There is a big Dun there and there was no entrance to it. A big chief lived there and he never let himself be seen. He dug his own grave in the dun and was buried there. Ever since it was called Dunganvil or Dún gan Bhéal "the Dun without the mouth".
Rooska:-This place got its name because of a marsh that is near the place and is called Rooska or An Riasc "the marsh".(continues on next page)
