   following day he met a jew with a pack on his back. He gave him a good hammering and them the jew asked him, what did I ever do out of the way to you? Aren't you one of the men who crucified our Lord? said the hammerer. If I am, said the jew, isn't that two thousand years ago. Well, if it is, said the other man, 'tis only last night I heard it.

   One day Irish Paddy was walking through the streets of London. He was eating a loaf of bread. A lady came down the street with a little dog, and she said to Paddy throw the little dog a bit. So Paddy caught the dog by the ear and threw him across the street. If you like I'll throw another bit said he, so the lady went away very vexed.
