  1. Festival Customs
    In my district many feasts are observed every year. On St.Stephens day men and boys dressed in womens attire and with masks over their faces travel from house to house gathering money. They travel in batches and some of them play musical instruments. In the evening they divide the money equally between them and then separate. On St.Brigids eve rushes are cut and made into crosses. A cross is hung over every cow and in the farmhouse to prevent ill-luck coming on the stock.
