  1. There is a hidden treasure said to be in the ruins of the Augustinian Abbey in the land of Miss Purcell, at the North of the town. It is said that when Cromwell burned the town and the Abbey. The monks fled and they could not take all their treasures with them so they buried them there. A few years ago two men went to search for the treasure and they took two bags and all at once a very big bull came and followed them and no one ever since dug for gold there. Those two men afterwards went to America.
