  1. I live in the Parish of Banogue, in the Barony of Cosma (Cois-Máigh). There are about ten families in the townland of Banogue. There are about 450 people in the Parish. The are about 45 people in the townland. The most common names in the parish are Cagney, Barry and O Gorman. The most common type of houses are slated, although there are a lot of thatched houses. There are a few old people in the parish. They do not know any Irish. The names and adresses of the old people are:-
    1 Mrs. Lynch,
    Glenbeaven,
    Croom.
    2 Mr. John Myres,
    Belview,
    Croom.
    3 Mr. Michael Benson,
    Rosstemple,
    Croom.
    4 Mr. John Murphy,
    Tullovin,
    Croom.
    All these people are over seventy years. There were more houses there long ago. There
