   1.We have conquered now the blight disease aft lapoe of forty years.
   Forty years misery, heartrending parting tears
   The potatoe now is sure to grow and thrive in our dear sole
   And keep our people within its shores with that kind and lovely smile

   2. The rain of harvest no longer thrills our hears in joyous hopes
   To gather in our years supply from the plains and mountains slopes
